Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana will also arrive in Europe

A new leak has revealed thatYs Memoire: The Oath in Felghana will receive an English version in the West.

XSEED recently announced that it will be showing off an unspecified title at Anime Expo 2024 next week. It turns out that this game is Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana. While the news was expected to be announced in a few days, posts on social media shared the announcement. These messages have since been deleted. The game was released in 2023 in Japan.

Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana is an HD remaster ofYs: The Oath in Felghana (originally released on PSP in 2018), which itself is a remake of the original game Ys III: Wanderers of Ys (1989). This new version is expected to offer a host of improvements, including HD visuals, new spoken scenes, including the voices of protagonist Adol, and the ability to choose between classic character portraits and music or new “Refine” versions . In addition to voice “events” for the game's 30+ characters, voiceovers have also been added for protagonist Adol Christin, who will be voiced by Yuki Kaji.

After the events of “Ys II”, Adol Christin and his friend Dogi decide to go on a journey. Dogi wants to return to his hometown of Felghana to see how it has changed since he left. They arrive in the Felghana region and quickly discover that things are not going well.

Arrival in Felghana

Upon arrival, Adol and Dogi meet Elena Stoddart, a childhood friend of Dogi. She explains that the region is under threat from monstrous creatures and that her brother, Chester Stoddart, has recently joined the forces of evil by working for Count McGuire, the tyrannical governor of Felghana.

Adol begins exploring the different locations of Felghana, battling monsters and helping residents in distress. He discovers that Count McGuire and Chester are seeking to awaken an ancient evil power to gain unlimited power. Adol must collect three magical artifacts scattered across the region to prevent this catastrophe.

The Artifacts and Dahm's Tower

The artifacts are guarded by powerful monsters and are hidden in dangerous places like mines and mountains. Adol confronts these guardians and manages to gather the three artifacts. Meanwhile, Chester realizes that his actions could destroy Felghana, but he feels trapped by his commitment to McGuire.

Adol then goes to Dahm's Tower, a mysterious and sinister structure, to arrest Chester and McGuire. At the top of the tower, he faces Chester in an intense fight. Chester, seeing that he cannot win and understanding the magnitude of his mistakes, sacrifices himself to help Adol stop McGuire.

Adol then confronts McGuire, who has already begun the ritual to awaken the evil power. After a fierce battle, Adol managed to defeat McGuire and permanently seal the evil power, saving Felghana.
