What do puppets, politics and action films have in common? At first glance, not much, but Team America: World Police manages to unite these three worlds in a humorous way! The film, released in 2004, revolves around the eponymous special police unit, which does everything it can to maintain peace in the puppet world.
The concept is not only responsible for the unusual visual style. The film pokes fun at classic action films, because saving the world can get a bit chaotic – especially when the special unit has to take on dangerous terrorists!
