Ver.1.5 of ‘Collapse: Star Rail’ Introduces Enhancing Relics; New Build Option for Kagemoto, Kafka?

HoYoverse posted on November 12th, “Collapse: Star Rail” The performance of the new relics added in Ver. 1.5 “Voyageous Night Story” has been released. It seems that you can get tunnel relics for additional attacks and continuous damage debuffs in the new erosion tunnel, and highly versatile dimensional ornaments in the “Simulated Universe/Eighth World”. In addition, information on system improvements since Ver.1.6 has also been released.

“Collapse: Star Rail” is a space fantasy RPG developed by the HoYoverse brand. The setting of this work is a universe where there are star nuclei and star gods that are said to bring disaster. The main character is a person with amnesia who was implanted with a star core by the mysterious organization “Star Core Hunters.” The protagonist meets Nanashibito and the others from the Starry Train during a commotion on the space station Herta, and sets off on an adventure with them. A pioneering journey is underway, traveling around the stars on the Starry Train.

The battles in this game are timeline-style command battles, and players form parties with up to four characters to fight against enemies. Characters also have enhancements such as tunnel relics/dimensional ornaments with random options, “light cones”, and skills. Other features include content such as so-called gacha-like jumps and a roguelike-like “simulated universe.”

In Ver. 1.5 “Miscellaneous Night Story”, along with the addition of a new erosion tunnel and “Simulated Universe/Eighth World”, tunnel relics/dimensional world ornaments will also be added. Although the name and other details have been revealed, the official details have not been revealed. The published performance is as follows.

・New tunnel relic

■“The Grand Duke burns out the ash”

2 set effect: Additional attack damage +20%.

4 set effect: When the equipped character makes an additional attack, the attack power of the equipped character increases by 6% each time damage is dealt, depending on the number of hits of the additional attack, which can be accumulated up to 8 times and lasts for 3 turns. This effect will be canceled when the equipped character makes the next additional attack.

■“Prisoner in a deep prison”

2 set effect: Attack power +12%.

4 set effect: For each continuous damage debuff applied to an enemy, the equipped character ignores 6% of the defense power when dealing damage to that enemy. Continuous damage debuffs can be counted up to 3 times.

・New dimension ornament

■“Dreamland Pinocony”

2nd set effect: Equipped character’s EP recovery efficiency +5%. Damage dealt +10% to allies with the same attribute as the equipped character in the party.

■”Blue Sky Front Gramos”

2nd set effect: Equipped character’s attack power +12%. When the equipped character’s speed is 135/160 or higher, the equipped character’s damage will be increased by 12%/18%.

About “The Grand Duke Who Burns Out the Ashes”has a buff that increases the damage dealt by additional attacks with the 2nd set effect and an additional attack with the 4th set effect. It will probably be a tunnel relic for characters that mainly use additional attacks. Characters with additional attacks in this work include Himeko/Kagemoto/Topaz & Kabu/Herta. Among them, there were currently no tunnel relics that were compatible with the fire attribute Topaz & Turnip. The 2-set effect of this relic is an unconditional increase in the damage of additional attacks, so it may become a new relic option for characters who mainly use additional attacks.

In addition, the prisoner in the deep prison seems to be a tunnel relic for characters with continuous damage debuffs. The 2nd set effect is a general-purpose attack power increase effect, but the 4th set effect gives a 6% defense ignore effect depending on the number of continuous damage debuffs applied to the enemy. It seems likely that it will be used by characters and parties that deal with continuous damage debuffs, especially Kafka. In addition, “Dream Land Pinocony” is used to support characters of the same attribute, and “Blue Sky Front Gramos” has the effect of increasing damage dealt based on speed.

On November 11th, future content additions and system improvement information were revealed on “Developer Radio.” First of all, Ver.1.6 will introduce “Fictional Epics” as new content. Fictional Epic is a content where you earn points through stages where enemies are constantly updated. As an element, there are also buff effects that the player can select. It seems like they aim to get high scores through a combination of buff effects and organization. As a reward, it is said that a maximum of 720 star balls can be obtained each period. It seems that a new fictional story will be released every four weeks.

Due to the appearance of the fictional epic, the update interval of “Garden of Oblivion – Memories of Chaos” will also be changed. Previously, it was updated every two weeks, but from now on, a new chaotic memory will appear every four weeks. As for the schedule, starting from Ver. 1.6, Fictional Epic and Memories of Chaos will be added alternately every two weeks. In line with the change in the update schedule, the release format has also changed. Starting from Ver.1.6, Fictional Epic and Memories of Chaos will be playable for 6 weeks after their release.

A quick clear function is also planned for Memories of Chaos. The quick clear function is a function that allows players to quickly clear the Garden of Oblivion without having to challenge previous stages, depending on the highest number of 3-star levels the player has achieved in previous Memories of Chaos.

After the Ver.1.6 update, you will be able to directly challenge the highest tier (up to 7 tiers at the time of announcement) where you previously earned 3 stars after releasing the new Memories of Chaos. If you clear 3 stars in that tier, you will receive all the rewards from the previous stages. Memories of Chaos consists of a total of 10 stages, with each stage gradually increasing in difficulty. In order to obtain all rewards, it was necessary to clear stages 1 to 10 in order, but by being able to skip up to the 6th layer, it will be much easier to obtain rewards. Furthermore, in Memories of Chaos, Stages 11 and 12 are planned to be implemented in Ver. 1.6, and it is said that up to 720 Star Orbs can be obtained each season.

According to Developer Radio, Ver.1.5 adds rewards for Nanashi’s achievements. Rewards have been added from Lv51 to Lv70, and you can earn 10,000 trust points for each level up. If you have unlocked Nanashibito’s award, you will be able to obtain an additional 20 relics for each level. In addition, improvements and adjustments to rewards are planned for Nanashi’s Merits in the future. Specifically, Nanashibito’s award “Gift of Destiny Traveler” (reward that gives you any trajectory material by selection) will be replaced with a general-purpose trajectory material, so you will no longer have to worry about which material to exchange for when obtaining a reward. That’s what it means.

In addition, the content of the quests for Nanashi’s Merits will also be adjusted. Relic enhancement features include quick enhancement features that allow you to level up every 3 levels, abandoned relic marks, and recommended relic functions.Expansion of the number of support characters for the Pilgrimage Visa, pin function for friend support, etc.Looks like it’s planned to be implemented.

Collapse: Star Rail” is now available for PlayStation 5/PC/iOS/Android. Update Ver. 1.5 “Ryourigen Yatan” is scheduled to be released on November 15th.
