Update Released for Critical Issue

A few days after the release of the first Zone

Alan Wake 2 made a show at Summer Game Fest 2024 with some highly anticipated announcements. As one could assume, the first Zone X expansion was presented on June 8 with a surprise. The DLC is already available if you have the Deluxe edition or if you purchase the Expansion Pass for €20.17 which includes several skins, outfits, a charm, and therefore access to the game's two new story content. The other surprise is that this complete version will be released in physical edition from October 22, 2024.

Alan Wake 2 June 25, 2024 update, details

The Zone X expansion of Alan Wake 2 alone represents the concept of the Remedy Connected Universe. Indeed, the DLC is divided into three episodes where you can play as the waitress from the Bright Falls restaurant, Tim Breaker from Quantum Break or even Jesse Faden from Control. If you have acquired it, you will surely be interested in the patch which has been deployed on consoles and PC. It fixes a progression issue and a glitch during episode 1 “The Biggest Fan” of the Zone you, it was a false alarm.

  • Alan Wake 2 home screen color is now cooler
  • Reduced resource spawns in Area X Episodes 2 & 3. It wasn't supposed to be this exaggerated
  • Fixed warning about corrupting saves when loading or moving between areas. This was a misleading warning related to another bug, but your saves are not corrupted
  • Fixed a rare issue in Zone: The Biggest Fan where an enemy could push the player outside of the level boundaries
  • Fixed rare situations where the player could no longer progress at the end of Zone X: The Biggest Fan.
  • Fixed some localized text
  • Fixed Activities not working correctly in certain territories (PS5)
  • Fixed an issue where achievements were not unlocked when earned offline
  • Several small fixes and improvements

This new update for Alan Wake 2 is available to download now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
