Another appearance was considered

In the gigantic universe of Dragon Ball, the DBZ arc will have offered some renowned antagonists. Perhaps the most iconic of all is Frieza, of extreme power and having put Son Goku in a bind, pushing him to transform into a Super Saiyan, and even destroying the planet Vegeta. A vicious, unscrupulous cult villain in search of immortality… and an outstanding fighter.

As you probably know, Frieza has three transformations for a total of four appearances (even more when you count Mecha Frieza or Golden Frieza). Nevertheless, a drawing by Akira Toriyama, dating from the end of 1989, is currently being talked about: it reveals a brand new design for Frieza. Much wider, stockier, he also looks exactly like Dodoria. And it is perhaps this sketch which gave birth to this last character. In any case, it allows us to imagine what Frieza could have looked like, his final design ultimately being the opposite of what we can see here.

See you in October

The opportunity to remind you that we finally have a date for Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO, the brand new video game in the Budokai Tenkachi saga. It will arrive on October 11, 2024 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Seres and will offer ultra-dynamic 3D combat, also looking forward to bringing back a local multiplayer mode.

Excitement is in order, especially since the casting promises to be absolutely staggering: 164 faces will be proposed, just that. Suffice to say that we should find all of Frieza's transformations there. Even better, the title will bring back the fusion system, allowing you to “mix” two characters. In short, can't wait for the month of October and let the biggest fans rest assured: a huge collector's edition is well planned.
