This character will not return

In the upcoming “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” players will meet some familiar characters. However, they will have to do without the protagonist from the second game.

Earlier this month, the developers at BioWare revealed some of the characters that players can meet as Rook in “Dragon Age: The Veilguard.” The fact that they are once again working with Solas from the 2014 predecessor “Dragon Age: Inquisition” was already known.

However, the role-playing game, which will be released in autumn 2024, also features other familiar faces. However, the developers also stated that a certain character will not appear in the next part of the popular fantasy series: the protagonist from “Dragon Age 2”Hawke.

But the Inquisitor is there

In the upcoming “Dragon Age: The Veilguard” players will meet some characters that are already known from the previous parts of the series. In addition to Solas from “Dragon Age: Inquisition”, the popular dwarf Varric appear again in the new part. Varric was in both “Dragon Age 2” and “Dragon Age: Inquisition” part of the group.

As the developers announced via Discord, Hawke, one of Varric's best friends, will not be part of “Dragon Age: The Veilguard.” This should not come as too much of a surprise to fans of the series. Hawke also appeared in “Dragon Age: Inquisition” to assist the Inquisitor in his task. Depending on the decisions made in the game, Hawke's fate also changed. However, BioWare has not ruled out the possibility that Hawke and other characters will be mentioned in passing during the story.

However, the person who will be taking part in the role-playing game is the Inquisitor from the third part of the fantasy series. Similar to Hawke in the last game, the Inquisitor, the protagonist from “Dragon Age: Inquisition”, will be part of the upcoming story.

Role play with many familiar faces
