The production of “Blade” has undergone several reshuffles, contributing to production delays. Yann Demange, the latest director, left the project without a hitch, succeeding Bassam Tariq who himself left the film in 2022! Marvel Studios veteran Eric Pearson is now in charge of writing the script, following an initial draft by Michael Starbury. Despite these adjustments, the release date remains set for fall 2025, although changes are always possible.

Although not much is known about this new storyline, Mia Goth will indeed play an antagonist in the feature film. Lilith has a complex and intriguing history in the Marvel Universe. Created in 1974, she is presented as the first child of Dracula. After the death of her adoptive family, she gains exceptional vampiric powers and immunity to sunlight. His existence oscillates between revenge against his father and unpredictable alliances, notably with Nick Fury's Howling Commandos. A newer version of Lilith, immortal and mistress of demons, appeared in the 90s, becoming a formidable antagonist against characters such as Ghost Rider and Doctor Strange. While the film “Blade” was supposed to take place in the 1920s, the latest versions of the script would place the action in the present day. So Lilith and her story could be reworked once again.
