On board!

If Fortnite is so popular, it is thanks to its regular updates never leaving players without new content. Its reputation comes from, among other things, its collaborations and game modes that continue to attract new players. Not to mention Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival, which have allowed everyone to find what they are looking for. This does not mean that its main game mode Fortnite Battle Royal is neglected. Recently, several leakers had revealed the upcoming arrival of an event putting the world of Pirates of the Caribbean, including the cult Jack Sparrow, in the spotlight. Since then, Epic Games has recognized the arrival of this update which should arrive on July 19.

One of the leakers, HYPEX, well-known among Fortnite players, was one of the first to notice that the Pirates of the Caribbean event pass had gone on sale earlier than expected. As soon as it was revealed, Epic Games was quick to react to this error. Players were able to purchase the pass in question, so the developers made sure it was quickly removed before announcing that players would not be able to “advance the pass until release.” The publisher even invited players to request a refund.

Fortnite still at the top of the rankings

Fortnite is one of the titles that monopolize more than 25% of global gaming time alongside Roblox, League of Legends, Minecraft and GTA 5 according to Newzoo's annual report on PC and console games. Information which clearly shows that the game (now intended to be a sandbox) continues to extend its influence on the world of video games. Especially since Fortnite recently released a new game mode called Reload.

And it turns out it was a huge success as it reached 1 million players last weekend. This one takes direct inspiration from Call of Duty: Warzone's Resurgence mode, as similar mechanics are at the core of this new gameplay experience.
