The Creator of a New Project Sees No Reason to Refuse

Elden Ring has fans buzzing, but could well raise the bar even higher as it expands further. Its creator is also totally ready to embark on a totally crazy project.

Elden Ring is back. GOTY 2022 has returned to the forefront with its brand new DLC Shadows of the Erdtree. A DLC which, at the start, clearly divided the players. We're not making this up, the community quickly stepped up to the plate when the extension was released, pointing out that the difficulty was too high and that there were optimization concerns on PC. The game was taken down on Steam following this, while another portion of players had fun without any problem. FromSoftware, however, heard the rage and made the decision to lower the difficulty a notch. More fixes will come later.

Elden Ring could end up in theaters

The studio is listening and it hears everything. He also hears when we ask for more and more Elden Ring from elsewhere. And among the ideas for developing the universe, Hidetaka Miyazaki said he was rather interested in the idea of making a film. In the columns of The Guardian (THANKS VGC), the creator affirmed that the idea of making an Elden Ring feature film was not crazy, on the contrary. For him, it would even come naturally.
“I see no reason to refuse other interpretations or adaptations of Elden Ring, such as a film for example […] that would be very interesting”

He adds, however, that neither he nor FromSoftware has the skills to set up such a project. “This is where finding a strong partner comes in. We would have to build a lot of trust and agreement on what should be done, but there would be real interest [à faire un film]for sure ” he finishes. A statement that can clearly be taken as a slap in the face. Miyazaki seems eager to launch a feature film and to get involved in it elsewhere.
As a reminder, the Elden Ring universe was created in collaboration with George RR Martin, the father of Game Of Thrones. Although the latter had little impact on the further development, his writing helped build this unique world. A universe which, although it requires effort to be discovered, turns out to be extremely rich. Enough in any case to be developed further. Now let's see where all this leads.

For now, you can find Elden Ring and its DLC on consoles and PC.
