What happened?

The fifth episode of The Acolyte is notable for two reasons. Firstly, the identity of the mysterious “Master” is revealed. Secondly, a whole series of Jedi die in this episode.

The Jedi die at the hands of the “Master.” He ultimately turns out to be Qimir (played by Manny Jacinto) and is actually a Sith Lord. The very bloody revelation, which also claims the lives of two fan favorites, shocked fans.

There is also an unexpected factor: some fans seem to forgive the character for his evil deeds – because they find his actor so attractive. There are some, sometimes questionable, posts about this on X (formerly Twitter).

On the account of stoneydubb On the other hand, it is stated that Manny Jacinto can “split the user in half”.

And even though Jacinto delivers a good acting performance and embodies a believable character, the revelation itself was not that surprising. There were already fan theories about the identity of the Sith Lord beforehand.

In this case, the obvious has once again occurred to this Star Wars series, similar to the prequel film trilogy in which Chancellor Palpatine revealed himself to be a Sith.

However, The Acolyte also showed that fans have to be prepared for seemingly impossible story twists. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next three episodes. The Acolyte has been running on Disney+ since June 5th. New episodes are released every Tuesday.
