After Ubisoft announced a while ago announcedthat “Star Wars Outlaws” is scheduled for release at the end of August, nothing should stand in the way of the planned release. As the publisher confirmed in the evening, “Star Wars Outlaws” has officially reached gold status.
This means that work on the science fiction adventure has been successfully completed. In the next few weeks, the development team will probably focus on a day-one update, which will be available in time for the release of “Star Wars Outlaws”.

“Star Wars Outlaws has gone gold! Our team can't wait for you to start exploring the Outer Rim and living the life of a rogue. August 30th can't come soon enough,” says an official tweet about the successful completion of development.

“Star Wars Outlaws” is an action title in an open-world setting. We slip into the role of the young villain Kay Vess, who risks everything to gain freedom and finally start a new life. According to the developers, in “Star Wars Outlaws” we explore numerous planets with bustling cities and cantinas.
In addition to various locations known from the films, there are also completely new planets and characters that were created especially for “Star Wars Outlaws”.
Developers want to respect the lore
Despite the completely new content, “Star Wars Outlaws” is intended to fit seamlessly into the lore of the legendary star saga insertTo achieve this goal, the developers at Ubisoft Massive worked closely with LucasFilm Games. According to the studio, they also placed particular emphasis on a high density of exciting content.
“We wanted to create something that was very activity-rich and not overly expansive, where you get lost and there's not much to do. It's very, very focused on providing a dense, bustling city experience,” said Creative Director Julian Gerighty.
“Star Wars Outlaws” will be released on August 30, 2024 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. As is usual for Ubisoft titles, Kay Vess’s adventure will also be released in different editions.
In addition to the standard version, there is the Gold Edition, which costs 119.99 euros, and the Ultimate Edition, which is available for 139.99 euros.
