Spiritual successor to Rollercoaster Tycoon comes to the console

The theme park simulation “Parkitect” was announced for consoles quite a while ago. Now the release of the Deluxe Edition is imminent.

“Parkitect” is an economic simulation in which players build and manage their own theme park. The title is similar to the “RollerCoaster Tycoon” series or the rather old “Theme Park”.

After “Parkitect” has been available on Steam for several years, the title was announced for the PlayStation and Xbox consoles some time ago. After a long period of silence on the plans, the release of the console versions is now imminent.

Console simulation will be released in just a few days

As the publisher BlitWorks Games has now announced, “Parkitect” will be released on July 3rd for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. For the consoles, the game will be released in a deluxe edition, which includes the main game as well as the two DLCs “Taste of Adventure” and “Booms and Blooms”.

The console versions of the simulation offer new options for key assignments and a revised user interface. This should make the experience on the consoles particularly comfortable.

The developers of Texel Raptor announced a few months ago that they had been working on a console version of “Parkitect” for quite some time. The title was actually supposed to be released already, but the simulation needed a little more time.

Players build their own theme park

The journey of “Parkitect” began in 2014 on Kickstarter. In 2016, the game entered Early Access on Steam before the full version was released on Valve’s platform on November 29, 2018.

“Parks require planning… more planning than just deciding where to put that crazy roller coaster,” says the trailer for the game on YouTube. “Decorate the landscape to increase immersion, hire staff and manage their tasks, upgrade the park with advanced systems and transportation, manage the prizes, assemble the roller coasters, and maximize your visitors' fun!”
