The public beta of “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2” has been cancelled. Saber Interactive states the reason and promises a small compensation.
“Warhammer 40,000: Space Marines 2” is nearing release, which was supposed to be accompanied by a public beta in the final phase. This will not happen, as Saber Interactive announced. The beta plans have been stopped.

Players who have already signed up for the beta can at least expect a little compensation.
Why was the Space Marine 2 beta stopped?
In the announcement, which was published on Steam, Saber Interactive points out that the remaining development time will be fully channeled into the final game while it is on the home stretch.
“Space Marine 2” is almost finished“, so the makers. “We are now fully focused on optimizing, polishing, and fixing any remaining issues before the September 9th release. This means we will not be running a public online beta as this would distract the development teams from preparing for the full release.”
In recent weeks, they have seen “incredible enthusiasm for the game,” both online and at shows hosted during the North American tour. The team has been truly overwhelmed by the passion fans have for “Space Marine 2” and has been thrilled to hear the shared fan art, reactions and memes.

Disappointed players will receive compensation after beta exit
Many players have probably been eagerly awaiting the planned beta of “Space Marine 2”. And for all of these interested parties, Saber Interactive is promising a small compensation. They will be rewarded with a limited bolt pistol skin.
“As a thank you to everyone interested in participating, players who registered via online registration before June 28, 2024, midnight Paris time, will receive the limited edition Bolt Pistol skin seen below,” Saber said in the latest announcement.
The company thanks fans for their continued support and wants to do everything in its power to “deliver the exceptional game you deserve.”
