Rich worlds

While Guillemot does not go into detail about how much more regularly new Assassin's Creed spin-offs will be released, he is at least a little more explicit about the announcement of the remakes:

Guillemot leaves it open which parts will be remade. However, he does make another interesting statement regarding future AC games that should make fans sit up and take notice:

There are worlds in some of our older Assassin's Creed games that are still quite rich.

This can refer to both the remakes and completely new games. In the latter case, it could mean that there will be new games in the same world or setting as a previous spin-off. For example, another Assassin's Creed in the sunny Caribbean, similar to Black Flag, could be possible. However, these are of course pure speculation.

In our ranking of all Assassin's Creed games, both Part 2 and Black Flag performed excellently. Since both have been around for more than a decade, these two parts would be particularly suitable for a remake. Of course, it remains to be seen which games will actually be remade.

More remakes from Ubisoft

The Assassin's Creed remakes are not the only reinterpretations from Ubisoft. Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell are also set to receive a remake. However, things are not looking so rosy with the production.

While Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is apparently in development hell, we have hardly heard anything about the remake of Splinter Cell since its announcement in 2021.

Before remakes of well-known Assassin's Creed games are released, you can look forward to AC: Shadows at the end of this year. After the series returned to its beginnings with Mirage, the question naturally arises as to how this will be done with Shadows.

You can find all the information in the box above. There is also an exciting article about games that are currently cheaper than a scoop of ice cream in the 00s.
