Season 2 of the Netflix hit starts production!

Many fans have been waiting for this news for a long time: The successful Netflix series “One Piece” will soon continue with season 2.

The series was not only extremely well received by critics and fans, as was the case with IMDb rating of 8.3/10, but has also topped the streaming service's global charts for a long time. With a fresh video, Netflix has today officially confirmed the start of production of Season 2. In it, we see how the five main actors Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Gibson (Lysop) and Taz Skylar (Sanji) begin their journey to South Africa and at the end are back together on board the Flying Lamb.

But that's not all the news of the recent past, because Netflix recently revealed eleven new actors who are officially joining the “One Piece” cast. David Dastmalchian (“The Suicide Squad”) as Mr. 3, Jazzara Jaslyn (“Warrior”) as Miss Valentine, Camrus Johnson (“Batwoman”) as Mr. 5 and Daniel Lasker (“Raised by Wolves”) as Mr. 9 were confirmed as Baroque agents. Rob Colletti will also play the villain Wapol.

Of course, Luffy & Co. not only have to face all kinds of strong opponents, but also make some new friends along the way. The journey in the second season of “One Piece” seems to take our heroes to Little Garden and the snowy kingdom of Drum, among other places.
