River Tails: Stronger Together Coming to Nintendo Switch Next Week

It's been a few years since we talked about River Tails: Stronger Together, but the Switch version now has a release date. A listing on theeShop indicates that the game will be launched next week, July 4, 2024 for €19.50. River Tails: Stronger Together, a 3D cooperative adventure game, was first funded on Kickstarter in 2021. The PC version was released in December, so it took about six months for the Switch version to be finalized .

Join forces with your teammate to defeat end-of-level bosses and solve environmental puzzles. Play as Furple, the curious and hyperactive purple kitten, or Finn, the lonely and perpetually sulky goldfish. Take a trip down the river with this odd couple.

The destination?

The icy mountain where Furple's family is in mortal danger.

Can you save them in time?

■Immerse yourself in stunning natural environments.

In River Tails you will experience an epic and visually stunning journey between land and water. Explore the flora of unexplored rainforests, immerse yourself in the magical atmosphere of caves, cross the treacherous swamp (if you can!). Only then will you reach the frozen mountain. On your way you will encounter a wide range of local wildlife – but make sure you know who is your friend and who is not before it is too late!

■Innovative and evolving gameplay

Your journey will be punctuated by innovative and fun river-themed challenges. No two levels are the same in River Tails. Discover new challenges, mechanics, and enemies as you progress through the adventure. Working together with your partner is absolutely essential to succeed.

■Breathtaking bosses

They can be quite scary, but by mastering the main co-op mechanics early in the game, you'll have all the skills you need to take down these angry enemies. Keep calm and work together. The bosses aren't bad, but they have anger issues that they should see a specialist for. They are very protective of their territory and are not very happy when a frisky kitten and a fish with algae in its mouth come too close.

■Play a cooperative game in single player mode!

River Tails is specifically designed for two players, but we didn't like the idea of a game that can only be played one way. That's why we added LoneWolf mode. We added a special control mode that allows you to play as both characters with one controller. Coordination becomes between one part of your brain and the other!
