With the release of Zenless Zone Zero, the question inevitably arises as to which character(s) will perhaps stand out from the crowd, and could be interesting as part of an early preparation for the “end-game” content. And that's precisely why a tier-list is important in this type of game, especially when you want to spend your Polychromes for a character who has that little something extra.

We will update this tier list frequently, adding new characters. However, don't think that if your character is not among the “strongest” ones, you will not achieve anything. Indeed, Zenless Zone Zero is balanced in such a way that it is possible to do everything even with free characters (provided you optimize yourself well).

Here the tier-list is separated into 3 categories with:

• The type characters DPS : They are here to do big damage
• The type characters Dizziness : They are here to allow you to prevent the enemy from doing damage via stun etc.
• The type characters Support : They will allow you to increase your team's damage.

• Ellen is simply the best DPS character available at the release of Zenless Zone Zero. She does excellent damage and can boost it. The only “condition” to be able to play her properly is to be very reactive in terms of dodges. If you get her, you can invest in her without asking yourself too many questions.

• Grace is positioned quite well in terms of her damage potential, provided you get used to her all-moving playstyle: she is indeed one of the most mobile characters in the game to date. In addition, her combos are fast, so she can be played quickly on the field before switching to your “main” DPS.

• Nekomata is also a fairly mobile character who also has the luxury of causing pain. She shines in particular on the groups of enemies thanks to her area attacks. But there is a catch: she needs to dodge to improve her damage. So prepare your reflexes, or another character if you ever stun your enemy.

• Soldier 11 is a pretty interesting character. The damage is good, and at first glance you quickly understand how to hurt with it. But if you really want to unlock its true potential, you will have to understand and master its Suppressive fireTo do this, you will need to press your basic attack at the right time, leaving a slight delay after the first in order to activate this suppressive fire for additional damage.

• Anton may not necessarily rank among the best DPS, but he can still be an asset to your team, especially since it is quite difficult to interrupt some of his attacks. The goal with him will be to switch to burst mode to infuse his attacks with electricity.

• Billy Kid is a character who deals damage from a distance, and who can do well in this regard, provided you know when to dodge, especially when you are in “crouching shooting” mode, a mode which will improve your DPS, and which allows you to reposition yourself in the direction you want.

• Corin to a gameplay based on his chainsaw. The more you hit with it, the more you will hurt. The challenge will therefore be to find the openings and not to overdo it to avoid being hit by your enemy. It also hurts more opponents who are stunned, provided you have a member in your team of the same attribute / faction.

• Lycaon is a great character that will probably remain a great investment for a while. On the one hand, he can quickly stun enemies and on the other hand, he even allows himself to increase the damage multiplier of a dizzy opponent! Add to that the fact that he can form a great single-ice team with Ellen, but also play on any other team thanks to his utility, and you have a very solid character!

• Koleda is a character with a rather original mechanic: if Well is on your team, her attacks will be enhanced! She can stun an enemy pretty quickly and her combos make her invincible, which is great if you don't feel like dodging.

• Anby is a character that you'll want to get to the 4th attack of his combo with. Once you're there, you can then choose between using it or holding your button to launch a devastating electric attack, and even use your skill which will also be improved.

• Well is a character that can be considered a tank. On the one hand, the defense statistic will give him 30% attack, and in addition to a shield, he can also parry enemy attacks

• Rina is an excellent support, for several reasons: first, she has a gameplay based on puppets that will be present on the field, which allows her to play from a distance. She will also on the one hand improve the Electric damage of the team, but also and above all the penetration of your teammates. Add to that good mobility and you have an excellent recruit!

• Soukaku to a buff stacking system. When you attack your enemy, you will have a stack of Vortex, and you can have up to 3 on you. You can then “use” them by switching to another character via a Chain attack or a Assist attack.

• Nicole is a character that has good utility for your team. She can pull enemies together, making it easier to damage them, and can also lower their defense.
