In recent years, anime fans have been able to discover new juggernauts of Japanese animation like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer and Chainsaw Man. And good news for fans of the latest anime, it will be getting its remake! The announcement was shared last Tuesday on X via a promotional video published by the manga's author: Rumiko Takahashi.

Ranma ½ is the second manga by Rumiko Takahashi to have had a new animated adaptation after Urusei Yatsura (Lamu). The announcement of a Ranma ½ remake comes 35 years after it first aired in Japan in April 1989. In France, the anime was very well received thanks to the Club Dorothée show on the TF1 television channel. Broadcast between September 1992 and December 1994, Ranma's adventures were a part of many viewers' childhoods. Today, it is possible to discover the manga in France thanks to Glénat editions. As for the remake, no other information has yet been revealed.
