With July just beginning, gamers might be thinking that most of the major announcements were already covered last month during Summer Game Fest. It must be said that between the opening ceremony, the Xbox Games Showcase, and Ubisoft Forward, fans of all kinds of video games have had plenty to satisfy their appetite in terms of trailers and other official announcements of projects. Among them, for example, we were treated to a few new images of Capcom's next flagship title: Monster Hunter Wilds. A new Resident Evil is on the way, it's official!

While no one really expected it, Capcom chose to take advantage of their own live event to officially announce some excellent news: The next Resident Evil is currently in development. However, Capcom has yet to reveal its official titleor even if it will sport the ninth digit that one might expect. For the sake of clarity and while we wait for an official announcement of the name of this new game, we will still call it Resident Evil 9. For the moment, No rumors have been confirmed or denied by the developerswe will therefore have to be patient to know more precisely what will make up the gameplay and the narration of this future opus.
