What is Featured Hour in Pokémon GO?
Among the weekly events offered by Pokémon GO, we can find the Featured Hours. Every week, they allow you to highlight a particular Pokémon by boosting its spawn rates and offering a special bonus for players.
The Pokémon in question is featured for 1 hour during which players are invited to catch as many Pokémon of this species as possible in order to earn enough candy to evolve these Pokémon and of course add them to their Pokédex.

According to Niantic, the next Featured Hour will take place this Tuesday July 2, 2024 between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. (local time). During this time slot, it is Pikachu which will appear frequently. Pikachu is a Pokémon of the type Electric from the first generation. Normally, it can evolve into Raichu with 50 Candieswhich you can get in capturing Pokémon, by them transferring to Professor Willow, and in many other ways. However, this time it is a Pikachu special form who wears a Cake Hat and which cannot evolve.
During Featured Hour, you will be able to catch lots of Pikachu, and earn 2x Capture XP thanks to the associated bonus.
