Summary

  • How to reach the Cerulean Coast of the South Coast in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree?
  • How to reach the Stone Coffin Crack?
  • How to reach the Dragon Pit and its Jagged Peak?
  • How to reach Charo's Secret Tomb?

Access to the very first region of the South Coast, the Cerulean Coast, is quite laborious and well hidden in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.

Start at the “Castle Entrance” grace site, then head southwest toward the cliff arch. Continue downhill until you come across a poison area. Point your compass north to continue on your way to the Ellac River.

After the poison pool, head northwest and then enter a cavity located southwest; in front of it is a Miranda flower, you should not miss it. Continue your route through the cave until you find the grace site “Ellac Cave”. You are almost at the end of your journey; when you reach a crossroads, take the path on the left. After a little game of skill with the cliffs, you will arrive not without effort at the Southern Cerulean Coast.

This area will help you reach the Stone Coffin Fissure, the underground part of the Cerulean Coast. It will allow you to find the Putrid Knight, a boss, but most importantly the Water Lily Garden, the area allowing you to continue the quest of Thiollier and Saint Trina.

But that's not all, because the Cerulean Coast also hides within it a nameless Mausoleum. To find it, go to the grace of the Cerulean Coast. Head due west, towards the edge of the cliff, you will find a small crevasse there. After a dangerous platform game, you can get back on Torrent and cross the long dark tunnel by going along on the left. Avoid the sea monster that emerges from the depths in the round room, still on the left to take the first possible exit. Once at the end, surprise! You are on the island. Head for the mausoleum now, which only houses the boss.

The Stone Coffin Fissure is not accessible right from the start of the DLC. You will have to progress through the expansion's story until an in-game notification alerts you that a major rune and seal have been broken somewhere in the Shadow Realm.

Usually, this notification occurs when you start visiting the beginning of the Black Castle or the Manus Metyr Cathedral. So before you head into this underground area of the South Coast, make sure to visit the beginning of the Black Castle to unlock its access.

Dragon Pit and Jagged Peak are only accessible from the “Dragon Pit” dungeon. Once you have defeated the Dragonman, the main boss of the dungeon, you can continue your ascent into the cavern to exit into the Dragon Pit sub-region. By trying to climb the peak to the east, you will then be able to reach Jagged Peak, namely the arena of Bayle the Dreadful.

Charo's Secret Tomb is only accessible from the Dragon Pit, the South Coast sub-region. To reach it, simply head south towards the large petrified dragon marked on your map. Thanks to its lifeless body, you will then be able to reach this very small part of the region.

On your way, you can even find a Great Altar of Draconic Communion, as well as the Draconic Priestess. The latter will have a short quest to give you, so don't hesitate to go meet her.

Search this area carefully, as you can explore a dungeon there, namely the Teardrop Catacombs. You will find it north of Charo's Tomb, behind the Funeral Bird arena. Also note that a Furnace Giant is hiding in this area, especially to the northwest, so don't hesitate to eliminate it to obtain a new Miraculous Salvation Mix Tear.
