Since the release of Shadow of the Erdtree, FromSoftware's software is everywhere again. It is particularly talked about for two reasons. The first is that this expansion is excellent. The second is that it is also very difficult.. Players disappointed by this spicy challenge even sent negative evaluations to the title, which caused its average on Steam to plummet. However, the game's director, Hidetaka Miyazaki, had warned that the DLC would be particularly tough.

Since then, calm has more or less returned.. FromSoftware has released patches softening (a little) the challenge while PC mods are multiplying in order to make the game less difficult, like the mod “Easy Shadow of the Erdtree” which reduces damage dealt by opponents by about 25%. But for those who would like to go on an adventure without “cheat“, there are not dozens of solutions: you have to master the rules of the game and learn. You also have to make a build with a lot of vigor and endurance, and from time to time summon a playmate who does not fear the threat.

Two is better

While it is possible to play co-op in Shadow of the Erdtree with summons, they have limitations. which can be annoying, such as disconnections when dying or if a boss is destroyed. Enough to make it difficult to progress from start to finish with a friend. Fortunately, the Seamless Co-op mod, known to Elden Ring regulars, has been modified enough by its creator to work on the expansion.

In a message taken up by Gamespota moderator of the mod's Discord explains that the “DLC added many new mechanics”, which required quite a bit of work to get the mod “works correctly“.
