Elden Ring will have impacted millions of players since its release in February 2022the action role-playing game of Bandai Namco And FromSoftware is still in the spotlight right now with the very recent expansion Shadow of the Erdtree. Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of the studio and director of the game, continues interviews to talk about the additional content, but not only that.
During an interview with The Guardian (via VGC), The topic of an Elden Ring adaptation into a film or TV series has been brought up and, surprisingly, Miyazaki's response is rather positive:

I see no reason to refuse another interpretation or adaptation of Elden Ring, a film for example.
But I don't think that I, nor FromSoftware, have the knowledge or the ability to produce something on a different medium. So that's where a very strong partner would come in.
We will have to build a lot of trust and agreement on everything we are trying to achieve, but there is certainly interest.
If the idea of seeing theBetween the earth coming to life through a film or a series is enticing, the scenario is enough to raise concerns. The game's storyline itself is very vague, especially as it depends on the choices made by the player, and the few characters are not very conversational. The title shines especially with its universe, co-written by George RR Martinthe author of the Iron Throne (Game Of Thrones), provided you analyze the descriptions of the objects and the settings of the game.
George RR Martin also published a strange message on his blogevoking the rumors of a possible adaptation ofElden Ring in film or series. Does the author have secret information in his possession? In any case, if there is to be an adaptation, he would be one of the first to know. The writer states:
Oh, and about those rumors you may have heard about a feature film or TV series based on Elden Ring… I have nothing to say. Not a word, no, nothing, I don't know anything, you've never heard a word from me, hum hum hum. What rumor?
There is obviously nothing concrete, George RR Martin can very well have fun tickling the curiosity of the players for no reason, but his message did not go unnoticed by the fans.
