CD Projekt Red has finished work on Cyberpunk 2077, but that doesn't mean it's been abandoned. The game pushes realism even further in an often overlooked area.

Don't expect any more DLC or updates for Cyberpunk 2077, the end of the game's support has been confirmed by CD Projekt Red. The 17 developers who were still assigned to this task have been redirected to the studio's other projects. Unless there is a huge, unsuspected bug that would “break” the title, no going back is planned. It's always sad, but we have to move forward, and the tinkerers of the CP2077 community are not giving up.

Cyberpunk 2077's NPCs Are Getting a Boost

Like many PC games, Cyberpunk 2077 was quickly taken over by talented modders. Users who sometimes add minimal comfort options or things that transform the game. If you have the right machine, an “8K Ultra Path Tracing” mod delivers a graphical slap. With “Here's Johnny”, you can spend even more time alongside Keanu Reeves. Lately, immersion has also been pushed back thanks to the Unrecord mod. In short, there are plenty of examples like this.

But the bar may have just been raised even higher with the “Responsive NPCs” mod created by MisterChedda. Its goal? To make Cyberpunk 2077 NPCs react dynamically based on your actions and such. They will no longer be “decorative elements” that repeat predefined phrases.

If you decide to walk around naked or scantily clad, an NPC may, for example, call out to you by saying “You look cold, do you want me to warm you up?”. Depending on the level of nudity, pedestrians may move away or trigger an “early detection” mode to keep a close eye on you. Similarly, carrying heavy weapons in certain locations in Cyberpunk 2077 will make you suspect earlier by the police and NPCs. If you have “low-end” clothes, the richest people in this world will look at you with disgust.

The inhabitants of Night City will also change their behavior if you have 4 or more wanted stars. Depending on the choices made during Cyberpunk 2077 quests, gangs may decide to provoke you, or enter into direct conflict without discussion. And there are many other possible reactions. You can download this mod Responsive Npcs on Nexusmods.
