If you follow video game news at all, there is little chance that you have never heard of Palworld. And for good reason, This open-world multiplayer survival game developed by Pocketpair was one of the events of the beginning of the year. When it was released early on January 19th, a phenomenal craze formed around the title, allowing it to be a memorable success. On Steam alone, a peak of over two million concurrent players was reachedranking it as the 2nd biggest peak in the history of the platform. Impressive scores, which obviously quickly dropped over time, stabilizing around 15,000 simultaneous players.

But to get the machine going again, Pocketpair is ready. They have planned a new update, titled Sakurajima, which will bring some major additions. We are thinking in particular of a new island, adding scope to the already existing map, as well as new Pals, thus diversifying the range of creatures to collect. But also a PVP arena that will allow players to face each other in 3v3 Pal battles. Fun, varied and welcome additions for a community that was really starting to lack new features.

Available since June 27, the update has brought people back to the title. In fact, if we keep Steam as a representative example, the number of Palworld players has increased by more than 700% in recent days.
