“The First Descendant” was released today, Tuesday, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC. Download the third-person shooter now for free from the respective store.

Because it's a free-to-play shooter, Nexon is financing the whole thing with the usual microtransactions. However, the system behind it isn't working properly yet. At the moment, it's almost impossible to buy the season pass because it isn't added to the account properly.

Here’s how those affected can check their purchases and rewards:

  • To check the purchased caliber: Inventory > Stock > Inbox
  • To check Twitch Drops rewards: Albion > Mailbox

In any case, those responsible are already working on a solution. Because of the inconvenience, they promise all those affected a speedy “compensation”.

More negative than positive ratings

But it's not just the faulty microtransactions that cast a bad light on “The First Descendant.” Users are also doing the same by submitting negative reviews on Steam. Just 43 percent of the ratings are positive.

Nevertheless, the launch of the shooter was successful: According to the Steam database There are currently almost 229,000 active players. And many players on consoles will certainly give the free title a chance.

In addition, Nexon has uploaded a trailer that introduces a few characters and there is also a brief overview of the Battle Pass.

Have you tried “The First Descendant” yet? If so, how do you like the game?
