Overwatch 2's very serious competitor, Marvel Rivals, will once again be accessible for free before its launch. Here's how to play it on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The Chinese giant NetEase is setting out to conquer the competitive shooter with Marvel Rivals. A TPS with a host of heroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Punisher, Black Panther or Doctor Strange, who wants to hunt in the lands of Overwatch 2. Will this clone be able to stand out sufficiently from its model, beyond the very different universe? Some have already been able to get an answer with the closed alpha, but this time, many more people should be able to get their hands on it very soon.

A free trial of Marvel Rivals in July 2024
The shooter Marvel Rivals will be free to play, and therefore available for free when released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A great first given that the previous support was only reserved for computer owners. If you want to find out before the big day, this will be possible in the coming weeks. The closed beta announced during a State of Play was talked about again before its deployment. Good news: it is not postponed and it will take place next July, as previously indicated. As is often the case, it will only last a few days, since it will be accessible from July 24 at 12:00 a.m. to August 6, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. (French time). NetEase has said that there will be several ways to try playing the Marvel Rivals closed beta, both on consoles and PC.
If you want to be among the first, you can try your luck by filling out the PS5 / Xbox Series X|S code request form for the Marvel Rivals Closed Beta. And be careful, this is only for these two platforms only. After entering the requested information, the codes will be distributed daily until the launch of this test version.
On the other hand, if you are a PC player, you still have to wait a little. The publisher explained that the best thing to do is add Marvel Rivals to its Steam wishlist. Registration to obtain a code will begin from July 21, 2024 at 12:00 a.m. (French time). Finally, in July, the developers will announce “events, tournaments and livestreams” history of promoting the game and demonstrating its competitive potential.
Closed beta content (characters, maps, modes)
The Marvel Rivals Closed Beta will contain three game modes: Convoy, Domination, and Convergence. The maps available will be almost identical, with a new one compared to the closed alpha. There will be:
