Fans of construction games have a bright future ahead of them. Ubisoft had recently announced the new Anno 117: Pax Romanawhich is sure to cause quite a stir. However, it will only be released at an as yet unknown date in 2025Fortunately, there is another promising title in the genre that comes onto the market much earlierActually, it should be the darkly staged Frostpunk 2 start this summer. But unfortunately there is now really bad news.
What happened in Frostpunk 2?
According to original plans The building game Frostpunk 2 was actually supposed to be released on July 25, 2024 and provide icy cold during the summer temperatures, at least virtually. But unfortunately that won't happen: The development team 11 bit studios recently spoke out and announced that the release is definitely postponed.

The team simply requires more timeto complete the work on Frostpunk 2 and to be able to offer the highest possible level. Among other things, feedback from the beta test plays a major rolebecause the developers want to respond to some of the wishes of the fans. This applies to both some gameplay elements as well as the design of the interface and additional featuresA release in July would not allow enough time to implement all of this. How long do fans have to wait?
When will Frostpunk 2 be released?
At least there is some good news (at least in part): the delay of Frostpunk 2 is limited. 11 bit Studios only needs two additional monthsto complete the remaining work on the building game. If everything goes according to plan, the release for 20 September 2024 firmly planned.
