Nintendo once again fired on all cylinders during the new Direct. Not every shot was a hit. In addition to four new classics that you can happily play “for free” on the Switch from now on, the unveiling of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was a disappointment.
Nevertheless, there were real highlights to report. The new Zelda in particular caused ecstasy with this revolutionary innovation. Fans of the princess can also look forward to to a new Switch be happy.

The Switch presented at the new Direct is a Switch Lite in the golden Zelda design. The new console not only looks really stylish, but also offers a 12-month individual membership for Nintendo Switch Online + expansion pack included. What does that mean?
This gives you access to countless classics from the NES, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, GBA, Sega Mega Drive and N64, among others. Whether it is actually worth buying the old machine so “shortly” before the possible release of the Switch 2 remains to be seen. Collectors will most likely buy it blindly anyway.
