New PS Plus Free Games Leave Much to be Desired

Sony has announced the three new free games for PS Plus that you can get from July 2nd. However, fans are not exactly thrilled with the selection. One game in particular is causing dissatisfaction.

These are the PS Plus games in July 2024

PlayStation players can also get new free games in July – as long as their PlayStation Plus Essential or have subscribed to one of the more expensive memberships. Sony is already presenting the games on the PlayStation blog. They are:

Borderlands 3 (for PS4 & PS5) – (view on PlayStation Store) NHL 24 (for PS4 & PS5) – (view on PlayStation Store) Among Us (for PS4 and PS5) – (view on PlayStation Store)

From the 02 July you can add the three games to your library. As long as you continue to pay for the PS Plus subscription, you can play the games whenever you want.

Borderlands 3 is undoubtedly the Highlight of the new game selection. In the colorful looter shooter you can shoot a lot, always looking for that one slightly better weapon. In the PlayStation Store, the standard edition still costs 69.99 euros, almost five years after its release. However, the game is also available much cheaper from online retailers such as Amazon.

What do players say about the PS Plus games

The PlayStation community is not at all happy with the new free games. Especially in the case of Among Us, players do not know whether to laugh or cryAfter all, the indie hit costs just €4.99 in the PlayStation Store and is even free on mobile devices. Many gamers are now used to being disappointed by Sony. The free games in June 2024 have already caused a lot of discontent. Perhaps the PlayStation manufacturer can at least offer a hit again in August.
