A new update for the free-to-play fighting game “Multiversus” is now available for download, and it is very exciting for several reasons.
To mark the start of the new month, developer Player First Games has released “Multiverse” the extensive and interesting update 1.05 has been released. The patch not only prepares the fighting game for the imminent arrival of a brand new fighter, but also adds a few new modes.

The Matrix is shaking, Agent Smith is coming
The update primarily serves as preparation for the expansion of the selection of available fighters. Agent Smith, known from the “Matrix” films, will soon be joining the large roster of playable characters. In principle, fans will be able to unlock this character as early as July 8, 2024. Anyone who completes enough Rifts in the large-scale “Beat Rifts, Get Agent Smith” event can immediately go into battle with the fearsome Matrix agent.
Everyone else will have to wait until July 23rd, when Agent Smith will be available for purchase like any other fighter in the Multiversus in-game shop. All you need is a certain amount of fighter currency. So there's still plenty of time to put some money aside. But that's not all.
New modes for Multiversus are launching
In addition to preparing for Agent Smith's big debut, Update 1.05 includes a few additional modes for Multiversus, including a variant called Free-for-All, which removes the team element from four-player battles. The first player to win a total of four ringouts is the big winner.

There is also now a “spectator mode” to choose from. As the name suggests, up to four players can watch a custom battle at the same time. There are also minor changes, optimizations and bug fixes. In the future, players will need significantly fewer stars to unlock everything on the Rifts. Speaking of Rift: “Megalodog” is another location available, and two more are to follow later in the season.
