Marvel Rivals: Closed Beta has a date

“Marvel Rivals” is a competitive multiplayer shooter in the Marvel universe that is currently in the works. Fans can now sign up for the upcoming closed beta.

In March, “Marvel Rivals” was announced after some rumors officially announced. Initially it was stated that the title, a competitive multiplayer shooter in the style of “Overwatch”, would be released for the PC. In May it was then announced that the game also for the consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Players can test Marvel shooter in July

The company let players know via Twitter: “Get ready for battle in the Marvel Multiverse on console and PC! Assemble your team and prepare to unleash your inner hero.”

The closed beta for “Marvel Rivals” is scheduled to begin on July 24, 2024 at midnight German time and last until August 5 at 9 a.m.

Console players will need to fill out a questionnaire to be selected for the test phase and will be notified via email if they are eligible to participate in the beta. Steam players can request access to the test from the game's page on the platform starting July 20.

This is what is offered in the beta

The beta is available to players in Europe, North America, and Asia. Supported languages ​​include English, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Chinese.

The closed beta allows players to test a whole host of well-known characters, including: Adam Warlock, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hela, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Punisher, Rocket Raccoon, Star-Lord, Storm, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man and Venom.

The modes will be Convoy, Domination and Convergence and will take place on various maps, such as Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path, Yggsgard: Royal Palace, Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands. Additional content, including events, tournaments and live streams, will be announced in July.
