A surprise announcement from the Xbox Games Showcase 2023, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess has since had several opportunities to reveal more about itself. Indeed, yesterday the title took advantage of the Capcom Next
to lift the veil on his demo.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess gets a demo ahead of its release on Xbox Game Pass
Right now, players can experience Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Capcom’s newest IP coming soon, with a controller in hand. A free demo is available to download on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC, allowing them to play through some of the main game’s levels as many times as they want.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is a single-player action-strategy game in which the player must save villagers and free villages plagued by corruption on Mount Kafuku. The player embodies Soh, who is tasked with protecting Yoshiro, a miko. During the day, defenses must be prepared and villagers assigned roles for the coming night, in order to fight against the corrupted creatures that emerge from the Torii, gates opened at night.
During the day, Soh and Yoshiro cleanse the corruption, while the villagers prepare for the night. Lumberjacks, archers, ascetics, and carpenters each have specific roles to defend the villages. Lumberjacks fight in close combat, archers at a distance, ascetics slow enemies with magic, and carpenters repair equipment needed for defense.
At night, creatures called Ikoku emerge in various forms and must be repelled with choreographic and powerful attacks. Yoshiro can adjust the villagers' roles as needed during the attacks. The challenges increase with the appearance of the Great Corruption, more terrifying creatures that require even sharper strategy and fighting spirit to defeat.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess will be available in its entirety starting July 19 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Note that it will be included in the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass catalogs upon launch.
