According to Kadokawa, data from contractual partners and legal documents were also stolen. Dwango includes the developer Spike Chunsoft and the video platform NicoNico, among others.

Kadokawa assures those affected of support

Even though Kadokawa is a media group with around 50 branches and studios, the cyber attack focused on Dwango's databases, according to the company.

According to Kadokawa, other stolen data includes contracts with external parties, internal documents and presentations, personal data of some authors and unspecified information from the Kadokawa Dwango Educational Institute.
