Two new free games are being offered by Amazon Prime Gaming this week, and they belong to completely opposite genres. One of them is a rereading of a great classic.
Like every month, Amazon Prime Gaming customers can collect “free games” like for PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass. Currently, seven titles are online, counting those offered in January 2024 which are still accessible, and those of the current month. Missile Command: Recharged, Atari Mania, Breakout: Recharged, Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery VR, Yars: Recharged, Lost Lands: Sand Captivity and Bethesda’s legendary Fallout debut. After this little reminder, here are the new games available from February 12 to 18, 2024 on the platform. Still expect to find an old emblematic license from one of the big names in the industry.

The two free Amazon Prime Gaming games from February 15, 2024
For this week, subscribers are entitled to two new free Prime Gaming games. Retro-gaming fans will be able to dive back into the world of a cult Atari game: Tempest. Indeed, one of the titles offered is none other than Tempest 4000, a reinterpretation of the famous hit shooter. Like the other arcade software that are available on the service, the latter keeps all the DNA of the original. The frenetic gameplay is still present, but the soundtrack and graphics are more “current” with effects that will disorient you. A game developed by Jeff Minter, already responsible for Tempest 2000, which contains 100 levels, three game modes and tracking your scores obviously.
The second Prime Gaming free game on February 15, 2024 is Criminal Archives: Alphabetical Murders. A detective experience where you have to solve the murder of three people, and decide whether or not there is any connection between each of them. “Are the murders of three different people linked? Or are these three different incidents? Cunning and logic are your best weapons to solve this case! ” (via Steam). It’s up to you to use your logic, among other things, and gather the evidence. The version offered by Amazon Prime Gaming is the collector’s edition which includes a bonus chapter with another quest.
To get these two free games, it’s very easy, especially if you’re used to it. First of all it is necessary subscribe to Amazon Prime to have access to all services (Gaming, Prime Video, etc.). - Go to the Gaming page
- Then on the “Free games” tab
- Search for Tempest 4000 and tap “Recover Game”
- A new page opens, click on “Get the game” to add it to the library
- For Criminal Archives: Alphabetical Murders, go to Legacy Games website
- Download and install the launcher
- Search for Criminal Archives 2 to grab it for free
