The next update for the successful co-op shooter “Helldivers 2” is now available for download. The official changelog reveals in detail which errors are fixed with update 1.000.404.

We continue with support for the co-op shooter released in February “Helldivers 2”As the developers of Arrowhead announced, patch 1.000.404 is now available for download.
Compared with the latest updates Today's update is more manageable. According to the official changelog, patch 1,000,404 makes minor improvements to general stability and also fixes selected bugs that “Helldivers 2” has been struggling with recently.
The focus is on the bug that affected the Hellpod landing and caused players to get stuck in an endless loop. The crashes after changing the game settings should also be a thing of the past (once again).
The following overview tells you what else is happening with update 1.000.404.
Update 1.000.404 in detail
- Fixed the Optimized Packaging Methodology ship module upgrade (technically this was fixed server-side and has been working as intended since July 1st).
- Crashes and glitches when jumping into a mission have been fixed.
- Fixed cases where players would get stuck on the Hellpod loading screen.
- Fixed a crash that occurred after changing settings (It really should be fixed this time. The last solution didn't stick the landing and we sent the engineer responsible to a Super Earth re-education camp).
In addition to the release of today's update, the developers at Arrowhead pointed out that they are already working internally to fix further problems.
This included the bug that caused mines to become invisible even though they were still active. The community also recently complained that messages sent in the game were sometimes not displayed.
Arrowhead also wants to fix this problem with one of the upcoming updates. The same applies to the bug that can lead to you not being able to invite other players or bring them into your squad. Unfortunately, Arrowhead has not yet given any specific dates for the respective bug fixes.
“Helldivers 2” was released in February 2024 for the PC and PS5. With twelve million units sold by the beginning of May, the co-op shooter developed the fastest-selling title in Sony's history.
