It's safe to say that anime fans have been well served in recent years. And this trend is not about to change, this 3-year-old manga will be getting its own anime adaptation and you can enjoy it on Netflix and other platforms!

Good news for anime fans
Anime fans get their money's worth on streaming platforms. Between Demon Slayer and Kaiju No. 8, it goes without saying that there are quite a few good adaptations to get your teeth into. These two universes have established themselves as behemoths this summer and are now essentials of the genre. And yet, it may well be that their successor has arrived. Dandadan, a one-of-a-kind anime, is set to hit our screens next October. Good news ! It will be available on ADN, Crunchyroll and also on Netflix.
The platform with the red N has therefore obtained the broadcasting rights for the animated adaptation based on the eponymous manga by Yukinobu Tatsu. Excellent news for Netflix subscribers. And the adaptation promises to be grandiose (while the trailer already goes all out), we will find Hiroshi Seko at the head of the scriptwriting of the anime. The latter brought his expertise to various animation projects such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Mob Psycho 100 and the final season of Attack on Titan. The production includes the Science SARU studio, which worked on Devilman Crybaby, Scott Pilgrim – Takes Flight and many others. Dandadan therefore finds itself in very good hands.
What to expect ?
The manga straight from the imagination of Yukinobu Tatsu immerses us in a paranormal universe. Momo, a high school student from a family of mediums, and her friend, Okarun, passionate about the occult and more specifically extraterrestrials, will get closer. Both face a slight problem, each does not believe the other's beliefs at all. They will then challenge each other: Momo will have to go to an abandoned hospital where a UFO has been spotted, meanwhile, Okarun will visit an allegedly haunted tunnel. Everyone will be confronted with paranormal events beyond belief. These two teenagers will not emerge unscathed and are far from imagining having taken part in an occult battle.
This is not the mangaka's first creation. He is at the origin of other mangas which have not had the same success as Dandadan which, it should be remembered, has been published since April 2021 on the online reading platform Shonen Jump+. Yokinobu Tatsu was an assistant to Tatsuki Fujimoto on the very famous Chainsaw Man, but also on Fire Punch. Dandadan will be broadcast in France on Crunchyroll, ADN and Netflix, from October 2024.
