Update as of May 13, 2024: On August 11th – in less than three months – the stand construction in the Entertainment Area of Gamescom 2024 will start, and advance ticket sales have been running since March. But there is still at best unofficial information from game manufacturers and studios as to whether – and if so, to what extent – they will be in Cologne.

At least: With the gaming chair specialist DXRacer, there is the first officially confirmed Gamescom 2024 exhibitor (see list below).

Message from April 16, 2024: The game manufacturers are not yet coming out of hiding – at least not officially. But one thing can already be spoiled at this point: Gamescom 2024 is gradually taking shape. Because behind the scenes, publishers, studios, trade fair builders and service providers have long been planning and preparing so that construction can begin on time in mid-August.

Several exhibitors have taken advantage of the discounted conditions of the early bird phase: According to its own information, Koelnmesse has recorded significantly more registrations and booked space – the figures are even said to be higher than the record year of 2019. However, the information does not indicate whether this applies 'only' to the trade visitor area (i.e. the Business Area) or also to the private visitor halls.

As always, there are no guarantees. As the example of THQ Nordic last year showed, conflicting internal developments can lead to trade fair appearances being cancelled at the last minute or being reduced in size. Conversely, exhibitors often decide to take part or sponsor at a very late stage – because this is the basic requirement for being featured in the opening show Gamescom: Opening Night Live.

The organizers traditionally only communicate the official exhibitor list a few weeks before the Gamescom starts. In the case of Gamescom 2023, the announcement came in mid-July.

In order to make planning easier for our readers (including with regard to ticket purchases and hotel bookings), GamesWirtschaft will once again use all its connections to the industry in the run-up to Gamescom 2024 and endeavor to obtain advance information. As soon as there are any confirmations or rejections, this list will be updated.
