Free ‘Pokémon SV’ Novel ‘After the Rain’ Released; ‘Sound! Euphonium’- A Story Introducing Nemo as Lead Character by Original Author, Now Available!

On November 10th, the Pokémon Company released an original short story, “After the Rain with You,” which is based on “Pokémon Scarlet and Violet” (hereinafter referred to as “Pokémon SV”). The author is Ayano Takeda, known as the author of the novel “Sound! Euphonium.”

“Pokémon SV” is the latest work in the “Pokémon” series. It is developed by Game Freak. The setting is the Paldea region. The protagonist, as a student at a private school, will go on an adventure through this region, which is built as an open world. There are differences depending on the version, with Orange Academy appearing as a private school in “Pokémon Scarlet” and Grape Academy appearing as a private school in “Pokémon Violet.”

In “After the Rain with You”, Nemo, the main character, appears as the student council president of Orange Academy. Although the story follows the story of “Pokémon Scarlet”, the story of Nemo and Anna’s “treasure hunt” will be told from Takeda’s own perspective.

At the time of the release, Takeda’s comments were also revealed. He says he has loved Pokemon since he was a child, and considers it an honor to have the opportunity to write the novel. When writing about Nemo, he felt that he had a great responsibility as he was loved by everyone.

A booklet version of “After the Rain with You” is also scheduled to be distributed at Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Center branches nationwide, as well as on Pokémon Center Online. They will be distributed at Pokemon Centers and Pokemon Center Branches from November 18th, and at Pokemon Center Online from 10am on November 17th, to customers who make purchases of 6,000 yen or more (tax included).
