Los Angeles, California – June 26, 2024 – The publisher and developer Rocket Panda Games announced today that Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate (PBBGU) will be available for pre-order from June 27, 2024. The publisher also revealed a brand new trailer revealing the first gameplay elements and revisited illustrations of the game. The 2D side-scrolling action game will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Game Store on February 13, 2025.

Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate (PBBGU) is a completely reworked version of the original opus released ten years ago. The new version features reworked and smoother gameplay thanks to a complete game overhaul with Unreal Engine 5, local and online co-op, and Versus modes for up to 8 players from around the world, with support cross-platform support.
In addition to graphics and gameplay improvements, Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate (PBBGU) also contains new characters, including playable enemies in Arcade mode. The game's soundtrack has also been completely remastered, giving players the option to choose between a brand new soundtrack composed by female J-rock band, Phantom Breakers, and the classic version, depending on their preferences.
