Everyone is here!

Players can't wait any longer! The hype around Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is only growing and each trailer is eagerly awaited by fans of the license. Last night, we were treated to an explosive trailer, revealing information about the playable characters in the game. These are 12 new characters who will join the large list of fighters.

“Swords against fists”that's the name given to the trailer. It highlights several characters who have the particularity of using a blade or directly with their fists. And there's something for everyone. On the one hand, we find Dragon Ball Z, with Super Vegeto, Trunks, Yajirobe, Mr. Satan, Spopovich and Dabura. On the other hand, we will have the chance to play more recent characters from Dragon Ball SuperJiren, Roasie, Ribrianne, Anilaza Goku Black in his Rosé form and Son Goku Ultra Instinct (signs) will be there.

The biggest in history?

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero could well be the new titan of the arena fighter genre, with 164 playable characters planned at launch. It goes without saying: since the arrival of Dragon Ball Super, the Dragon Ball universe has never been so vast. Adding as many characters from the Super saga to the already significant number from the Dragon Ball Z universe of the 80s is the best way to drastically increase the game's roster.

However, fans are a little frustrated to see that Goku and Vegeta are taking an important place as playable characters in the game. However, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero promises new combat features and new game modes, which you can discover by reading our preview of the game here. As a reminder, this is a spiritual sequel to Budokai Tenkaichi. The game is expected for October 11, 2024 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series.
