Exploring Enshrouded: Gathering and Utilizing Resources

Since the world of Enshrouted relies on craftsmanship, you can build anything as long as you have a workbench and resources. We'll show you here where you can find the items and how you can actually build them.

Building with the workbench

Right at the start of the game you land on a beautiful meadow after going into the cave. This is perfect for settling down for a while. After you do that Flame altar placed If you have one, you can start building your temporary home.

For the workbench you need three pieces of yarn and eight pieces of logs. You can smash the trees in the area for the wood and you can make the yarn from plant fibers that you get from bushes.

For some recipes, for example yarn, you don't need a workbench. You can select this resource in your overview menu and create it with a mouse click. Now you can interact with the workbench and craft items.

By the way, you can use the workbench not only to build, but also to repair your items. Every time you interact with the workbench, your backpack inventory will be repaired. Ideally, you will consume it no resources.

Miasma Wood and Wax: Finding Resources

Once your workbench is placed, you will receive some recipes to build. Each item requires certain materials. Only when you have these in yours Backpack you can process the resources.

The good thing is that the whole world has resources for you. The more resources you find and build items, the more recipes you unlock. During the day you will often find wild animals such as rabbits and billy goats. At night, however, some enemies wait for you and sometimes attack your camp.

The opponents often loot different items, so it's worth checking them out after the fight. Below we list some starting materials and where you can find them:

Take your time at the beginning and first explore the area and build shelters. A useful item is the grappling hook. With this you can take a shortcut over the Braelyn Bridge and don't have to hike through the miasma below. For the grappling hook you need miasma spores, yarn and scrap metal.

Build using the build menu

You can use the construction hammer to process and place individual resources from your backpack. By default, however, you can only place one stone on top of the other and therefore takes a correspondingly long time.

Therefore choose that Construction hammer and presses the TAB key. This takes you to the construction menu and allows you to draw entire walls and build roofs. This is especially important if you need protected spaces. Your blacksmith likes it to be safe and warm.

You can either select pre-made shapes in the build menu and even modify them by removing certain parts, or you can build something yourself from scratch. With the help of Alt key you can change the different categories. You can choose between one, two and four meters for the walls and stairs and two and four meters for the roofs.

If you have a foundation or want to build terraces, there is also the terrain function. However, pay attention to the boundaries of your flame altar, you can only build within the flame lines and need enough materials.
