Expect Big Changes with the July Update

Polyphony Digital is going to do things in a big way for its July update, it's a done deal. The studio will be thinking outside the box for its 1.49 update.

The months pass by at full speed, but Polyphony Digital does not weaken its follow-up to Gran Turismo 7. Since the controversial launch of its game, notably because of microtransactions and forced grinding, the Japanese studio has never stopped improve your baby. Once the problems were corrected, it endeavored to bring new content at a rather regular pace with a lot of more or less important updates. The next one, which will arrive at the beginning of July, is already shaping up to be very special.

A big update to Gran Turismo 7 is coming

The new Gran Turismo 7 update is approaching at high speed. Where Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the series, usually goes for his little tease with an image showing the silhouettes of the next vehicles, this patch 1.49 will do things with great fanfare. The game's official account has in fact confirmed that the update in question will be revealed during the Gran Turismo World Series Esports, the next stage of which will be held on July 6, 2024 in Montreal. Polyphony Digital will therefore do things in a big way, a first for a updatewhich suggests that the July update of Gran Turismo 7 will have some under the hood. The surprise should therefore remain intact until the big day, but the most seasoned players already know what to expect.

A handful of new cars, which we imagine will be more numerous than for the more classic patches, menus for the GT café, new Scapes to highlight our favorite cars during photoshoots, and obviously new variations of old circuits. That's for the classic updates of Gran Turismo 7. Patch 1.49 should contain some more substantial surprises with perhaps new features or adjustments for Sophy, its rather revolutionary AI system.

Genesis X Gran Racer Vision on the program?

One thing is certain: this little teaser will skyrocket the expectations of Gran Turismo fans, of whom there are more and more people. The May 2024 update even brought five new cars, but the community can't get enough of them. It's also been almost eight months since Gran Turismo 7 Spec II was released and fans are starting to get impatient. On the car side, as GT Planet notes, we can safely count on the arrival of the Genesis X Gran Racer Vision Gran Turismo, recently revealed during BIMOS in South Korea. It will obviously be accompanied by other vehicles.
