Fire Knight Queelign will invade your world as a phantom several times during the course of Elden Ring's “Shadow of the Erdtree” DLC. You can also meet him in his physical form. To do this, however, you will need the key to the prayer room. We will show you how to solve Fire Knight Queelign's quest here.
Find Fire Knight Queelign
As an NPC invader, Fire Knight Queelign tries to make your life difficult twice during the game. The first time you can meet him is in the tower settlement of Belurat. If you go up the stairs after the Small Private Altar Place of Mercy, you will come across a Horn Warrior. If you follow the path to his right, you will come to a large circular area where undead shadows are worshiping a tree.

This is where Fire Knight Queelign will invade your world. Once you have defeated him, he will reward you with the Crusade Insignia talisman. This increases your attack power after each defeated enemy.
The second encounter takes place on the western hill of Scadu Altus. Here you can enter the Church of the Crusadein which Queelign will invade your world again.
If you defeat him here too, you will receive the war ash “Flame Spit” as a reward.
Get the key to the prayer room
Depending on where you defeated Queelign the second time, you will also receive the “Key to the Prayer Room” as loot. If you defeat Queelign first in the church and then in the tower settlement, you will get the key there. You need the key to find Queelign in his physical form.

Find Queelign in the Shadow Keep
Queelign is located in the prayer room, which can be found in the Shadow Keep. However, you must enter the castle via the eastern entrance. You can reach this by descending into the large hole in the floor of the Moorth Ruins to the east of Scadu Altus. This will take you to a ladder that leads up to Bonny Village.
Then continue east over the suspension bridges and then north up to the castle. In the flooded area of the castle you then have to walk onto the roof of the large church. There is a hole here and you can drop down onto the roof beams inside. There you will find the door to the prayer room in a corner of the area.
Give Queelign an Iris
In the prayer room you will find Queelign lying on the floor. After the conversation you can give him either an Iris of Mercy or an Iris of Darkness. You have to collect both items yourself. You can find an Iris of Mercy in the warehouse in the western area of the Shadow Keep. An Iris of Darkness can also be found in the Shadow Keep in the passage to the tree cult or as loot from the monster at the bottom of the castle after you have drained the water. Depending on which Iris you give to Queelign, you will receive different final rewards. These look like this:
Iris of Grace: You will receive the Spirit Ash “Fire Knight Queelign” as a reward.Iris of Eclipse: You will receive the heavy thrusting sword “Queelign’s Greatsword” as a reward.
