In Elden Ring, not everyone wants to kill you. Sometimes you will meet NPCs who are friendly and want to accompany you on your journey. In this overview you will find all NPCs and their quest lines.

NPCs in Elden Ring

There are far more enemies than NPCs in Elden Ring, but that is precisely what makes these friendly characters stand out. In contrast to the rest of the Between Lands NPCs don't want to attack you directly. On the contrary, they even offer you exciting tasks and rewards.

The friendly comrades are roughly into three types. Some NPCs can belong to multiple species.

Dealer: These NPCs sell you items and weapons.Speaker: These NPCs give you clues and, above all, contribute to worldbuilding.Quest giver: These NPCs give you quests. The type of quest varies depending on the character

The NPCs’ quests cannot be tracked with a quest log or similar, as is typical for From Software. you will meet the characters again and again on your journey through the in-between lands. They often give you tips on how you can help them and provide you with useful items.

We sort the NPCs according to their first locations. Of course, thanks to Elden Ring's open world, you can visit them in any order you want. It may happen that you only discover them after the specified location.
