Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero: Next batch of characters confirmed

In October 2024, Bandai Namco will finally continue the popular Budokai Tenkaichi series. In the best Dragon Ball game style, there are tons of characters from the various originals. The complete roster has not yet been finalized, but Bandai Namco has introduced a new wave.

You have to let that sink in: Bandai Namco wants to provide you with a whopping 164 characters in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. There are numerous fan favorites among them, but the developers have also picked out some obscure characters from the extensive template pool.

Now there are a bunch of new characters with whom you can jump into the arena and dish out a good slap in the face. The studio is introducing a total of eight fighters: Dabra, Super Vegetto, Goku Black (SSJ Rosé), Yajirobi, Spopovich, Son Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-), Ribrianne, Rozie and Aniraza.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is scheduled to be released on October 11, 2024 on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. If you need another game based on the works of the sadly deceased mangaka Akira Toriyama until then, Sand Land could be the right thing for you. In his review of Sand Land, Dennis writes: “From the character designs to the charming dialogues, everything bears his unmistakable signature. For my part, I was so happy about that alone that I could forgive Sand Land for its mistakes.”
