From the preview it can be seen that BioWare is trying to appeal to as wide a range of players as possible with the difficulty levels.

There is also a level that allows you to customize your gaming experience with various parameters.

Difficulty level can be changed later

Story mode is the lowest level of Dragon Age: The Veilguard and is aimed at players who have no experience with the genre or who simply want to enjoy the story.

The “Adventurer” level offers a healthy mix of accessibility and challenge.

“Nightmare” is intended to appeal to players who are looking for a particularly tough challenge. In story mode and on the “Adventurer” level, you can change the difficulty level at any time.

In “Nightmare” mode, however, your decision regarding the level of difficulty is permanent.

Customize your gaming experience

The “Unbound” mode is the final level of difficulty. Here you can customize the gaming experience using various parameters. The functions offered include optional aiming assistance, the option to automatically guide you to the next target, or help in combat.



You can also adjust the damage your enemies deal or their health to influence the level of difficulty. If you want, you can even activate an option that prevents your own characters from dying.

“Dragon Age: The Veilguard” will be released in fall 2024 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. EA and BioWare plan to give a specific date when the role-playing game is nearing completion.
