In Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora there are twelve special ancestral skills in addition to the normal skills. We’ll show you here how you can find and unlock them. These are spread across Pandora. The good thing is that these skills are not missable. You can also collect them after the story in free mode. You can see how many skills you have already collected and what powers they have in the skills menu. You will also receive an additional two skill points for each Tarsyu flower you collect. The ancestral skills light up in bright pink on the map and can be collected at any time after unlocking the first skill in Chapter 5. However, it’s worth advancing the main story in the respective areas beforehand, otherwise you won’t be able to fly. Near the pink dots you will find so-called tarsyu flowers. You have to collect these to absorb the ancestral power. Since many of them like to grow high up on rocks and mountains, you will have to switch to your flying mount more often. First ancestral ability: double jump You get the first ancestral ability at the beginning of the main story in the chapter “Songs of the Ancestors and Becoming”. There you get to know the first Na’vi of the Sarentu clan, Entu. This gives you the air boost, a kind of double jump that can even be used to push yourself off vertical surfaces. This will also unlock all other ancestral abilities on the map. Ancestral Ability: Hard Impact In Kinglor Forest you have to head west. Between the spider thread lakes and the shadow forest is the limitless expanse. There is the closed Tarsyu flower on one of the flying rocks. Go to her and she will open for you. Here you will find the ancestral ability: Hard Impact Ancestral Ability: Soft Landing Right next to it you will find the next Tarsyu flower in the Spider Thread Lakes. In the middle of the lake you will find a large stone that is hollow inside. Go to the entrance in the south and cross it to collect the ancestral ability. Here you will find the Ancestral Ability: Soft Landing Ancestral Ability: Free Fast Travel This ability can be found in the Shrouded Forest in the west of Pandora. The pink dot is in the middle of all locations in the area. However, you are not allowed to go directly to the glowing point, but have to go into a cave a short distance away. Namely, the tarsyu flower is located underground. In the following picture you can see the entrance and location of the cave. Just follow the path through until you get to the ancestral ability. Here you can find the Ancestral Ability: Free Fast Travel Ancestral Ability: Deeper Connection The Tarsyu Flower is located in a tree trunk at Starblade Grade in Kinglor Forest. However, the tree is still closed. In order for you to achieve this ancestral ability, you must first destroy the Laser Ore Processor Alpha RDA base. This pollutes the surrounding forest, which protects the tree trunk. But be careful, the recommended level for the RDA system is level 20. Here you will find the Ancestral Ability: Deeper Connection Ancestral Ability: Screeching Ability Travel to the high plains and look for the step hoard there. Here you will find a cave and the entrance is at the bottom at the beginning of the stone. Follow the path through the cave and you will reach the Tarsyu flower in a short time. Here you will find the ancestral ability: Screech ability Ancestral ability: Wing Storm The flight to this ancestral ability is a bit difficult. In Eywa’s Reach is Toruk Peak. You have to climb this together with your Ikran. Since the mountain is terribly covered in fog – this time it’s no RDA base’s fault – it’s a bit difficult. You have to go all the way up to the top and enter the summit. Only then does the fog clear. The Tarsyu flower sits closed on the surface, waiting to be touched. Here you will find the ancestral ability: Wing Storm Ancestral ability: Diplomatic Skill In the high plains you will find the area “The Mainland”. Find the Great Tusk mountain there and fly to about the middle of the mountain’s height. There are several water sources and a large entrance into the middle of the mountain. Inside, the flower waits on a pedestal. Here you will find the Ancestral Skill: Diplomatic Skill Ancestral Skill: Reconnaissance Travel northeast in the high plains to get to the Shattered Bridge. There is an old wooden trunk with a hard-to-miss entrance, surrounded by colorful flowers. But be careful, don’t get caught by the helicopters flying around. Go in and open the flower that is waiting for you right behind it. Here you will find the ancestral ability: Reconnaissance Ancestral ability: Spirit Hit In the north of the high plains you will find the name “First Zakru”. Climb the mountain there and head east of the pink dot. Because there is a cave entrance in the ground. Follow the path inside and crawl through two gaps in the wall to find a waterfall. Above it there is a small flower from which you receive a skill point. On the other side of the cave you will find the ancestral ability and you can go outside again directly behind it. Here you will find the ancestral ability: Spirit Hit Ancestral ability: Tarsyu Network In the overcast forest you will find the weeping giant in the north. This is a mountain. Fly up and you will find the closed flower directly in the open area. Here you will find the ancestral ability: Tarsyu Network Ancestral ability: Pull out Near the computer terminal at the Thread River southeast of the Aranahe Clan in Silk Forest you will find the last ancestral ability.
