Slowly but surely
Elden Ring’s thirst to dominate the gaming landscape for good probably hasn’t been satisfied: fromSoftware announced an expansion called Shadow of the Erdtree last year and it goes without saying that this is furiously awaited by millions of people. However, since its timid reveal which only showed a logo, the Japanese developers have been playing the language.
However, we have some new information to get our teeth into and for nowwe had to look at Kadokawa, the parent company of fromSoftware, which has just published its financial report : in this one, we can see his next projects, in which the famous Elden Ring DLC appears.
“We are currently hard at work developing the Elden Ring DLC, but we have not yet announced a release date at this time.”, we can thus read in black and white. According to the company, the launch of the extension is however considered “major”proof that this is indeed a vital project.
Soon an announcement for the release date?
Otherwise more interesting: fromSoftware plans to increase its profitability (via the DLC in question) in a window “medium or long term”. We can therefore assume that the extension is indeed planned for this year, perhaps in a few months or at the end of 2024 (or after?).

This revives the hope of a first trailer soon, ideally to announce a release date. We recall that not long ago, a well-known accessories manufacturer revealed that Shadow of the Erdtree would arrive from April 2024: a leak not necessarily to be taken at face value… but could it coincide with the information revealed by Kadokawa? Possible.
