Which weapon to choose for this Elder Dragons Lightning Confessor build on Elden Ring?

As you can imagine, given that we are starting here with a Confessor build, we will not need traditional weapons like on other Elden Ring builds. However, you need something to fight and in our case, it will be a seal.

You saw it in the name of the build, Lightning Confessor of Dragons, we are going to play around a spell which is a draconic incantation. Gold, The seal that best matches this type of incantation by boosting them is the Granite Seal. It is therefore towards him that we will head.

To get it, head towards Leyndell and the point we have indicated to you on the map above. There you will see two knights. By killing the spearman, you will obtain the Granite Seal. But this seal is not going to be the only “weapon” that we are going to carry.

On top of that, we're going to look for the Medusa Shield. To do this, go to the point indicated on the map below where you will find it on the ground between 4 spiritual jellyfish. Via its unique skill, you will have a 20% damage bonus for 30 seconds.

Spells and incantations to choose from

Quite logically given the name of the build, the main incantation, the one which will be responsible for your damage, is “The lightning of the ancient dragons”. To get it you will need to buy it from Miriel or Cohryn, after finding the Breviary of Elder Dragons.

As for the other incantations, we will be using more than classic buffs. Indeed, you will look for the “Cry of Shabriri”, as well as the “Golden Oath” which will significantly increase the damage you will inflict for a few seconds.

As for attribute points, no real surprise, you will primarily seek to increase your Faith. As is often the case in a build that will focus on a single statistic, we will advise you to invest around 70 points during your adventure.

As for other statistics, take around forty points in force to have enough PV. Also remember to fulfill the conditions required to be able to use the Medusa Shield, that is, 20 in strength and 14 in dexterity.

Equipment pieces to choose

As for equipment, we will advise you to take the Overlord Mask which will be found at the Altus Plateau, on the cart near the “Abandoned Coffins” grace site. The latter will give you a bonus on your Faith, which is what you are looking for.

As for talismans, here are the ones we will recommend: the “Talisman of the Ritual Sword” which increases damage when HP is at max, “The Icon of Godfrey” which improves charged spells, “The Lightning Scorpion Talisman” which increases lightning damage and the “Weave Talisman of the Ouaillés” which increases the power of incantations.

Finally, as for the tear vial, the first one you will choose is the “Lightning Veiled Cracked Tear” to increase the damage of this type. You will then accompany it with the “Knotted Crystal Tear of Faith” which will increase this stat.

The first step in a fight with this Lightning Confessor of the Ancient Dragons build will be to buff yourself. For that, you will first launch the “Cry of Shabriri” and the “Golden Oath”. Then take your potion of tears and you will be ready for battle.

The idea will then be very simple, you will launch “Elder Dragons Lightning” and let it do the job. The best is to load the latter for two reasons. The first one, it's quite simply that you will gain the bonus offered by “The Icon of Godfrey”.

Then if charging “Elder Dragon Lightning” doesn't offer more damage than simply casting it, this will have the effect of creating more lightning. However, more lightning means more chance of hitting your enemies and therefore inflicting damage on them.
